Hail glared at the Dark-type, having moved from Chris's shoulder to the ground a metre in front of him. Chris sighed. "Though it would be customary to give the challenger the first move, I can see that you can probably afford to let myself and my bugs go first," he said, eyeing the powerful-looking Absol. "In which case, Hail, use Reflect first off." The Bug nodded, closing her eyes and focusing, producing a shimmering golden hemisphere the obscured her small body.

Growling, the Absol took a few steps forward, before a dark glow filled his mouth. Upon opening it, he shot a shadowball at the gym leader's pokemon. Without hesitation, he quickly followed it as to deliver an attack once it had hit. Ooc:// Cant think of anything else to say.

The Shadow Ball sliced through the glowing shield, hitting the Ledian, who scowled in annoyance as she was throw back a short distance, the dark ball of energy nearly as big as she was. The dome still held, however, to push away any physical attack.

Absol's mouth now filled with a white glow, but it continued forward. Charging, the blade on the top of its head met with the barrier, as he strugged to push through it. "Use it now," Damien commanded, in his usual dull voice. Growling at Hail as he failed his attempt to break the barrier, he jumped back, bracing himself to fire the hyperbeam towards the bug. He released the attack, a large, white beam escaping his mouth..

Again, the special attack sliced through the golden shield like a hot knife through butter. The force of the brutal beam slammed the small bug against the ground, holding her there for the duration of the attack. As it ended, she forced herself up, then did as her trainer had just called out, beating her thin wings frantically. A silvery gust of wind formed, spiralling towards the Absol.

Seeing no ways to counter the attack, Absol had decided to try and use it to his advantage. Charging the attack, he jumped into it, hoping to ride it into the air. Instead, he was sent to the right, smashing into the gym wall. The Absol, still managing to land on all four feet, shook his head. His mouth began to fill with a dark glow again, though he knew that, after the recent Hyperbeam, it would take longer then before.

"Okay, Hail, while it's charging up, Silver Wind again!" the leader called out, wanting a quick battle - no matter which side won. Nodding, the Ledian beat her wings, more confident this time as the Absol wasn't attacking, a shimmering wind blowing from her wibrating wings to the imposing Dark-type.

Using the wall to his advantage this time, he leaped upwards. Claws digging into the gym wall, he jumped off of it, avoiding the bug type's attack as Absol fired the shadowball from his mouth. Ooc:// Couldnt think of anything else to say.

Hail thought fast, flying vertically, the dark energy grazing her wing. Flinching, she fluttered to the ground, just as Chris ordered a Light Screen, which she was only too happy to do. As a glittering blue shield covered part of the field, the golden one faded away, its job done.

Both Damien and his Absol were growing tired of these barriers. He simply wanted to finish this so he could move on. Charging forward, Absol jumped to an unusual hight, and dove down on the bug pokemon with Arial Ace.

The Bug was drived hard into the ground, her cerulean shield doing nothing to protect her from the super-effective attack. {I can...still fight...} she grunted, feebly beating her wings, but Chris shook his head. "Hail, haven't you done enough yet?" he sighed, the Ledian replying by falling back to the ground. "I thought so. Good game," he said, directing the last part to Damien. He walked over to the Pokemorph. "Your badge -" he held out a dull golden piece of metal with bronze inserts, shaped like a Combee "-and your TM." He took a case out of his pocket. Inside was a green-tinged disc, with the word 'X-scissor' engraved on it. "Have fun finding the third Gym Leader."
((Meh, bored. Ex's run off to some water park...))

Taking both the Badge and the TM, and sliding them into his pocket, he nodded. Returning his absol, he turned, and left the gym. Only one pokemon battle, eh? Different then the last gym leader, who would have used all three of hers had they not been up against Damien's charizard.
